google What does technology change in our lives?

Our Society

Technology solves all problems or so that society believed until the humans realized that technology was really just covering up the huge underlying problems that nobody really wanted to take the time to fix. The technology only helped to make the society move faster, and pretty soon the people in that society became so transfixed with the technology that did everything for them, they couldn't think for themselves.

In the past without technology people have been perfectly capable of completing simple tasks such as find their way to an uncharted destination without using a GPS or making plans and deciding on a meeting spot without the use of cell phones. Look around though, because today people can't seem to manage these simple tasks without their precious technologies. What happens when these technologies fail us? For example, a GPS device doesn't work well in heavy tree or cloud cover. It isn't always practical to whip out the GPS device and wait for it to turn on. So what happens next? After relying on this technology for most of our lives will we be able to read a map or compass in order to find your way back home? Technology was supposed to suppliment our skills, not erase them completely, which is exactly what is happening.

 Cell phones

Cell phones are another live changing technology. After 20 years, 85 percent of adult Americans have cell phones, according to the Pew Internet and American Life Project.

However, with cell phones people have lost the skill to accuratly plan. B.C ( before cells) people used to plan ahead as to where they were going to meet each other when they met up, parents would talk to their children in the beginning of the day as to what after school activities they had and what time they were expected home. Now its seems easier to use the cell phone and make a decision on the spot with out a set plan. This isn't the most long term logical approach though since planning is an important skill to have for the rest of life, for situations such as planning an election, a party, or in the case of many high school students, your future.

Impact of technology in our lives

With the introduction of Mp3s, TVs and computers, life for humans have become easier but also lazier. Obesity in children is at peak levels in India, United States, etc. Kids are preferring to stay at home and play computer games rather than going out and socializing like they used to. Quite simply kids are losing their social life, getting fatter and are having low academic achievements all because of their addictive games on Xboxes, Play Stations etc.

But not only the children, it has also affected lives of adults.Cell phones can cause brain tumors and computers cause problems with your hands and fingers, and posture. So is technology really helping us? Are the pros outweighing the cons. Should we take the risks? We have probably heard that listening to music at high volume levels from iPod can damage our hearing capability but have we cared how other gadgets are also causing damage to our overall health? Cell phones, microwave ovens and even the little Bluetooth device that we have attached to our ear causes radiation that might cause harm to our natural health.
